I once inserted my memory card to one of my friends’ PC using an adapter or card reader to collect some files from him, and at the end, when I removed the memory card from his computer and inserted it into my mobile phone, I was shocked to see no folders in it but fortunately the files in the root directory were safe and I was able to access those files without any problem.
Command Prompt
But because of seeing no folders in the memory card, I immediately connected my micro SD card to my personal computer using an adapter. I noticed no folders in it, but there were clone .exe applications files of the folders in the card. (1) First of all, connect your memory card to the computer using a card reader or an adapter.
(2) Scan the memory card drive for viruses using your antivirus software and eliminate the threats.
(3) Now go to the root folder of the memory card and delete all the duplicate .exe files that resembles to your infected folders.
(4) After that, show all the hidden files & folders on your PC by going to – Organize > Folder & Search Options > View and check in the “Show Hidden Files, Folders & Drives” under the “Hidden Files & Folders” option. Click on “OK” to save your preferences.
(5) Now delete all the suspicious hidden folders & files having names such as @Photos, $%Playlist, #%&>Songs etc.
(6) Now open Command Prompt or CMD on your computer by initially pressing & holding the Start button along with the “R” key. Once the run window appears, type in “cmd” into the run box and hit enter.
(7) Once Command Prompt is opened, go to the memory card drive by typing in the drive location such as – “K:” or “L:”. In this case, we are having D: as the memory card drive.
(8) Right after that, enter the following code into the Command Prompt window and hit enter afterwards:
D:>\attrib *.* /d /s -h -r -s
(9) Your lost folders will now again be appeared on your memory card.
